Warner used the back cover and placed a full page promo ad of the -then- new artist with just'A Star Is Born' as a title (paying homage to Barbra's 1976 film of the same name, since the issue celebrated her new film).

Madonna's name is mentioned on the top (like a magzine name) in bold red lettering. All four corners have notices that this is an advertisement by Warner. The cover is upside down so it's like a regular cover when held upside down (with Special Holiday Issue is printed on the upper left side).
