Journal des Demoiselles - complete year 1876 with 9 hand coloured fashion engravings and 3 black and white. Size - 10 3/4" x 7 1/2".

Beautiful book in very good condition. No missing pages 4 loose pages at the back.

Green leather spine with dark green boards. The corners of the boards show some wear, but the binding as whole is in great condition, tight with strong hinges. Small area with light water damage on one of the covers. Contains 9 hand coloured fashion engravings, and 3 black and white fashion engravings.

We own large collection of ladies periodicals from the 18th and 19th century. On occasion as we upgrade the volumes we own, we put others for sale.

In our auctions we have mentioned before, that such publications have become scarcer and increasingly more valuable due to the constant destruction of these books. The beautiful hand coloured or chromolithographs prints inside are removed for framing, and immediately destroyed by sunlight regardless how protective the glass is.
