1871 Journal des Demoiselles - Volume 39 - January to December - Complete. Size - 11" x 7 1/5". In this condition or with the coloured engravings still. Complete volume for the year 1871. 3 black and white fashion engravings one of which is double, and 3 black and white engravings depicting scenes.

Minimal wear to the spine and corners. Solid green boards and green leather spine. No loose or missing pages. No foxing on the engravings.

We own large collection of ladies periodicals from the 18th and 19th century. On occasion as we upgrade the volumes we own, we put others for sale. In our auctions we have mentioned before, that such publications have become scarcer and increasingly more valuable due to the constant destruction of these books. The beautiful hand coloured or chromolithographs prints inside are removed for framing, and immediately destroyed by sunlight regardless how protective the glass is. We advocate conservation and preservation.
