The scarce first issue of a magazine. By Jim Jones' infamous People Temple. Redwood Valley: People's Temple Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1972. A Near Fine copy with light shelf wear, staples a bit rusted, small pen mark inside rear cover. The inaugural issue of the only serialized publication of Pastor (later Reverend) Jim Jones' church, The People's Temple, which would meet a grisly end in Guyana in 1978.

Editor-in-Chief Garrett Lambrev was tasked by Jones to create this pamphlet for outreach, which upon publication he was surprised to find depoliticized; Jones had always been explicitly Left-wing and pro-civil rights before. This issue mainly focuses on the healing powers of Jones, with many black-and-white photos of him and Temple members at revivals. According to Lambrev after his dismissal before the publication of the second issue, the periodical had a few more issues before being discontinued. Scarce, with no holdings in OCLC.
