Extremely rare original bound volume of the strand containing the very first short story adventuresof sherlock holmes. The man with the twisted lip. All by conan doyle and illustrated by sidney paget. This is the July to December edition printed in 1891. There is wear to the edges & corners and mildew marks on a number of pages. The spine and cover are faded and quite darkened.

The last three pages are loose but all there and none of the loose pages contain the all important sherlock holmes stories.
