There are 34 pages if you include the cover and back there are 36, thus is the first and only edition the book has wear, the areas show with the stains goes out the entire pages, some stains and rubbing on pages the where some letters are removed, creases on cover and some pages also the pages are fragile that some could come loose, some have already but still is complete, this is a very hard to find book very rare. In March, 1951, Abbey was editor of The Thunderbird, a publication of the University of New Mexico Press.

This issue included a piece by him entitled Some Implications of Anarchy. " This is the infamous issue of The Thunderbird wherein Abbey debuted as editor and printed the Voltaire quote "Man shall not be free until the last general is strangled with the entrails of the last priest on the front cover and attributed it to Louisa May Alcott. This issue was seized, destroyed and the magazine terminated along with Abbey as editor. (Quill & Brush, Author Price Guides).
