A magazine of left-wing humor and commentary, published under the auspices of the American Finnish Federation, the primary Finnish Left Socialist association in America. The journal was published under this title from 1921 to 1936, first from Superior, Wisconsin, then from 1931 on in New York.

The editor during this period was K. Suvanto, the most prominent of Finnish-American left-wing cartoonists of this period, and his drawings illustrate many pages of the journal. Punikki during this period was primarily oriented towards anti-Fascism, with a great deal of coverage (and caricature) of right-wing populist movements in Europe. A predecessor, "Lapatossu, " ran from 1911 to 1921; a successor, "Kansan Huumori, " appeared from 1936-38.
