This issue includes the first published appearance of the Rachel Carson story "Silent Spring" (part three of three, the other two parts in the previous issues, which we are also listing now), and more. This is the true first edition, true first printing, earlier than the Houghton Mifflin book.

The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no odors, no writing, nothing missing, tight to the staples. Strictly graded Fine/Very Fine; it was put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, untouched since new until now.
