This listing is for a hardbound, signed edition of the inaugural first issue of Modern Bride Magazine, from Fall 1949. Published by Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, this special edition has a book plate signed by the President William B. Davis, and Editor-in-Chief of Modern Bride, Margorie B. It appears to have been presented as a gift to those associated with the magazine, and it is a rare and unusual keepsake. The white outer covers have flaws including foxing on the edges and dented upper corners. The magazine inside was protected by the covers, and is in beautiful condition with a slight bend to the upper right corner.

The binding measures 8-3/4" x 11-5/8" and the magazine is slightly smaller, with 128 pages including covers. It has color and B/W pages. It is clean, complete, and has no discernable "old paper/attic smell" odors. This lovely bound magazine would be a real treasure to add to your collection!
