This issue came out during the Fall of 1988 while Macho Man Randy Savage was the WWF Heavyweight Champion, and so he is the superstar that this issue is devoted to. It's 32 pages of nothing but Macho Madness, packed with photos and stories about the late, great WWF legend - as well as some about his then-manager/wife, the lovely Elizabeth. I was lucky enough to get the cover autographed by the man himself on October 17th, 1993, during a PAL (Police Athletic League) event in the Bronx, NY. Look at the pics and you will see one of Randy Savage and myself at that event, in front of an NYPD police car.
Look even closer and you will notice that Savage autographed that photo too in the lower right hand corner, two years later during a public appearance in Queens. For something that is 35 years old this magazine is in pretty good shape. The edges of the front and back cover are a little worn, and the white pages inside have yellowed somewhat, but all of the pages are intact and all of the beautiful color photos still look great. It did bring two fold-out posters printed on both sides of the same sheet (one of Savage by himself; the other of him with Liz) but those are not in great shape because they used to hang on my bedroom wall for many years during the 80s and 90s. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you may have..
