EROS, First Edition 1962, Complete Set of 4

  

A once-controversial erotic publication, illustrated with photographs and reproductions in color and black/white, produced by Ralph Ginzburg and Herb Lubalin. Very good condition, minor wear, from my parents's library. Ginzburg's most famous publication, Eros was a high-priced magazine of classy erotica, launched in 1962 and only four volumes were published before he was indicted on charges of violating Federal obscenity laws. Ginzburg was eventually found guilty by the Supreme Court and sentenced to five years in prison; he was released after eight months.
