Presenting the HIGHEST CGC GRADED {9.4} HUGH M. HEFNER AUTOGRAPHED ORIGINAL #1 PLAYBOY magazine {from December, 1953} with WHITE Pages in the WORLD! This 9.4 HUGH M. HEFNER Autographed Original #1 PLAYBOY began my "CGC BEST MAGAZINE SET 2012" & begins my "2020 CGC BEST SET IN TYPE: PLAYBOY - VOLUME 1" collection. Both the plaque and certificate are shown above.

This ONE-OF-A-KIND #1 PLAYBOY has a "Qualified" {Green} Label because CGC did not have one of their employee-witnesses present when the signing occurred, yet CGC wants to acknowledge the outstanding condition {in this case, "Near Mint/9.4"} of the PLAYBOY magazine being evaluated. In other words, no CGC signature witness plus magazine in excellent condition = Qualified {Green} Label. For magazines where they have an employee-witness present, CGC has their own "Signature Series" & it comes with a yellow label. The CERTIFIED GUARANTY COMPANY (CGC) is the world's first and largest third-party comic book and magazine grading company. If you do not believe in their grading expertise, you should not participate in this offering. Comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY of Mr. Hefner's autograph from "The Lamplighter Appraisals" in San Diego, California.

I bought it ungraded in July of 2011 and sent it to CGC for grading later that year. There has been absolutely no restoration, or pressing, of this magazine.
