Nicely bound set of all Billboard Magazines from October to December 1954., 12 weekly magazines, all complete, about 90 pages each. Great ads and coverage for the new game known as pinball, lots of early jukebox ads, movie and music news. Great full-page ads for jukebox, band leaders, Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. Contains some of the first R & B charts with best sellers by Muddy Waters "I'm Ready", Hank Ballard, Fats Domino. Ads for King records, Sun other R&B.

Has a review of an early pre-RCA release by new artist Elvis Presley. Lots of coverage of country and western, Ernest Tubb, Hank Locklin etc. Billboard magazines from the 1950s are not common, particularly bound, complete and in good condition. Lots of ads for Mills, Caille, Wurlitzer, Rockola, Seeburg machines. Articles chronicle the rise of swing and big bands. Dimensions are bigger than earlier issues, 12 by 17 by 3-1/2 inches, weight is 13 pounds!!!
