This edition of Astounding Science Fiction includes the short story "Liar" by Isaac Asimov which is the third story to his magnum opus "I, Robot". The book is in good condition. The cover is very colorful, minus a small missing piece due to a tape mishap?? The binding, spine, and pages are very good.
The cover and rear has minor cracks here and their, but it's hard to find a pulp book from the 40's in such good condition. Liar is about a Robot whom through the manufacturing process, somehow acquired the ability to read people's thoughts. All the scientists and "robot psychologists" try to figure out at what point in the process of the creation of his positronic brain that this mishap happened, whilst the robot uses his new ability to play them against each other. This story has one of my favorite endings out of all Asimov I, Robot short stories.
