Larry Schindler Title: This Invitation Admits Two Publication: New York: AREA, 1984 Edition: First edition. Description: Flip-flop, approximately 8 long, with rubberstamped paper tag affixed. An early and innovative invitation for the legendary NYC nightclub, which was a nexus for the downtown set in the 1980's, issued for a 1984 celebration of the first summer issue of Larry Schindler's Hampton's Newspaper. One of the more inventive of the glorious objects made by the club, a high spot of the 80's downtown scene and a favorite hangout of Basquiat. Tag lightly creased and faintly toned, but near fine, as is the flip flop, showing only some faint traces of soiling.
