The magazine is in acceptable to good condition, given that it is almost 110 years old. The front cover is reasonably clean for a magazine that is almost 110 years old, but has foxing, and minor soiling, spots, and creases. The bottom edge has a lighter, slanting shelving line towards the fore-edge. The spine is mostly intact but has soiling, creases, splits, and chips.
Chips to the upper and lower extremes of the spine expose the textblock. The back cover has foxing, soiling, creases, and chips. Both staples are visible when the front cover is opened to the first page, and the lower staple evidences more rust. The Machu Picchu supplement or foldout is attached to the inside of the front cover.
And surprisingly, is in excellent condition, as it does not evidence additional creases through incorrect folding, and has no damage apart from foxing and soiling consistent with age. Staples are visible when the back cover is opened to the last page, and the back cover has partly split from the spine.
The textblock appears tightly bound. Pages show evidence of foxing, but none appear to be missing or marked. The first numbered page following 16 pages of advertisements and a title page (Page 387) is Page 388. The last numbered page is Page 574, following which are 20 pages of advertisements. Images were taken in natural light, but the final image has been auto-corrected (auto-correction sometimes highlights condition).
