Beautifully illustrated by Sidney Paget, the artist that created the Sherlock "look and feel" that persists today. The volume is bound with a leather back and hard sideboards, with the position of all six stories shown by six small bookmarks. I was given the volume back in 1970. The book has been in a non-smoking house, temperature-controlled, dark room, in a window-fronted book case since that time. The 6 stories Included are.
The Adventure of the Cardboard Box. The Adventure of the Yellow Face.
The Adventure of the Stockbroker's Clerk. The Adventure of the "Gloria Scott". The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual. The Adventure of the Reigate Squire.
The Adventure of the "Gloria Scott" is particularly interesting since it is Sherlock's Holmes's first "case" chronologically. These stories were later published in 1894 in book form in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes.
