Created by Leonard Smithers, Arthur Symons, and Aubrey Beardsley, the magazine was deeply rooted in the Decadent movement, offering a platform for avant-garde and controversial works. It published only eight issues, two of which were quarterly and six monthly. "The Savoy" featured contributions from notable writers such as W.

Yeats, Joseph Conrad, and Max Beerbohm, alongside Beardsley's distinctive and provocative illustrations. The magazine aimed to challenge the conventional artistic and moral norms of the Victorian era, embodying the spirit of art for art's sake. " Despite its short lifespan, "The Savoy left a lasting impact on the literary and artistic landscape of the late 19th century.
