Two charming, first edition volumes of The English Illustrated Magazine, with eleven issues full of various articles, stories and illustrations. First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding. This book weighs 4 KG when packed.

The English Illustrated Magazine was a monthly publication that ran for 359 issues between October 1883 and August 1913, featuring segments on travel, topography and fiction. These issues included various articles such as Rosetti's influence in Art, The Pianoforte and its precursors, An Unsentimental Journey Through Cornwall and The Women of Chaucer. Some of the articles and writings that appear in these issue are The North-Eastern Railway and Its Engines, Love-Birds and Pigmy Parrots, Some Musical Performers and The Little Mermaid. The volumes are extensively illustrated throughout. In the publisher's original cloth binding.

Externally, smart with some fading and bumping to the spines and a few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones.

Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under'condition. Good Only - Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults.

Leaving a compromised copy even after repair. Really bad and possibly seriously incomplete.
