Half green calf with gilt titled and decorated spine, red title labels, all page edges marbled, with marbled end papers. 11 colour plates or pattern plates (including the frontispiece) with 4 folding plates and many black and white illustrations. Provenance: no inscriptions or bookplates. Approximately 8 ½ inches tall. Spine - good condition - gilt titles and volume numbers to red leather labels, scratched and worn, other compartments blind stamped, marked and worn. Joints - good condition - rubbed and worn. Corners - good condition - bumped and worn.

Boards - good condition - green leather with marks and scratches, buckram cloth, worn and rubbed. Page edges - good condition - top edge darkened, all marbled. Hinges - good condition - sound.

Paste downs - good condition - marbled. End papers - good condition - marbled, subsequent end papers tanned and foxed. Title - good condition - some offsetting and foxing. Pages - good condition - minor marks, tanned with some foxing throughout.
