[1], 325-360, [1-index] leaves plus 36 plates (hand-colored copper engravings) interleaved, and extra to the pagination. 5 3/4 x 9 inches. Arranged so that each leaf of text explanation is opposite the colored engraving it describes. Versos are blank for both plates and text pages. Textblock broken into several pieces, boards detached, spine perished. Previous owner's name M. Found at top of the title page. Offset browning from corner gluing for the first few pages. Often taken apart to frame individual plates, this volume could be rebound if desired to preserve the work. Boards are 1/4 leather with leather corners and early marbled paper. Crescent Oct 1, 1796 in the plate, and each plate numbered upper right.
