The eighth issue of the Art, Science and Information Magazine Aspen is one of the most interesting among previous and past publications. Gathered in a folder are 14 sections with one missing, each being an intriguing and strikingly original sample of the work of the leading contemporary artists and cultural figures.

Including a flexidisc with pieces by Jackson MacLow and La Monte Young, as well works by scientists and a dancer, Aspen no. 8 is a trove of avant-garde works of the twentieth century. Section 4 is a score by Philip Glass. A list of the participating artists is included on verso of folder.

14 sections with one missing. 11.25 x 11.25 inches. The Multimedia Magazine in a Box--was the first. This issue was designed by George Maciunas and edited by Dan Graham. It is known as "The Fluxus Issue" although many unrelated artists participated.

1 + 1 for One Player and Amplified Table-Top. A musical score by Philip Glass. Jackson LacLow / La Monte Young. Side A: Young Turtle Assymetries by Jackson MacLow, chance-generated poems for five simultaneous readers, explained in item 10. Side B: Drift Study 31 1 69 by La Monte Young, explained in item 7.

Lead Shot, a description of a sculptural project by Richard Serra. Reverse: Pendulum Music, by Steve Reich, a description of an audio study.

Loose articles are overall in VERY GOOD+ to NEAR FINE condition with VERY GOOD folder cover. Articles are in overall very good+ condition showing minor wear. Each article is carefully preserved and maintained in great overall condition.

Interior shows mild age-toning yet articles are clean and free from stains, foxing or tears. Edges of articles show occasional slight edgewear from rubbing, as well as scarce creasing to corners. Missing section 13: Ruscha Parking Lot. Fold-out documents are in well-preserved condition with minimal rubbing and creasing.

One fold-out document (section 12) exhibits a 3.25 closed tear to fold. Folder is in very good condition with mild to moderate overall toning and scarce staining. Interior of folder with list of artists and bios is mildly toned with scarce staining and shadows.

Edges, corners and pockets of folder exhibit moderate wear from aging, with border creases and rubbing, some closed tears mostly to spine ends, and overall toning.
